Water absorption of cultured stone is higher than natural stone, so it will transfer the moisture through to the wall of the structure causing many of the same issues seen with improperly installed stucco. Being a porous product, manufactured stone is subjected to ice wedging and freeze thaw problems. What’s more, its specific weight is 1/3-1/4 of natural stone, not need extra support of wall footing.
